The SDICCCA AccessAbility Regional Collab event is a weeklong learning experience for all employees working at California Community Colleges in the San Diego/Imperial County Community College Association.

Join us for our first SDICCCA AccessAbility Regional Collab, where our region’s California Community Colleges come together to create lasting change in accessibility.

Accessibility is not just an obligation; it’s a shared responsibility—one that each of us plays a crucial role in fulfilling. By participating in this week of learning and collaboration, you’ll gain practical skills, inspiration, and actionable steps to make our collective goal a reality: a learning environment where every student and employee, regardless of ability, can thrive.

Together, as a region, we have the power to reshape our classrooms, campuses, and resources into truly accessible spaces. Let’s unite in our commitment to equity, support each other’s growth, and take concrete steps to remove barriers to education. When we all contribute, we all succeed— help make inclusive learning a reality for every student in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Dates: Monday through Friday, March 10th-14th, 2025

Sessions are offered as follows:

Monday through Thursday, March 10th-13th:
- 10:30-11:30am, 12:00-1:00pm, 1:30-2:30pm, and 3:00-4:00pm
Friday, March 14th:
- 9:00-10:00am, 10:30-11:30am, 12:00-1:00pm

The new Title II rule of the ADA reinforces our commitment to accessibility by setting clear guidelines to ensure digital spaces, including college websites, online courses, and digital resources, are fully accessible to people with disabilities. This means we must design, review, and update all our online content and tools to be navigable, understandable, and usable for everyone. Compliance with this rule is not only a legal obligation but a vital part of our mission to create an inclusive learning environment where every student has equitable access to education. The AccessAbility Regional Collab offers a chance to learn practical steps for making our digital and physical spaces accessible, aligning with this new standard and setting us up for success as we adapt to this critical mandate.
